Jurassic Park: The Vegas Years

13 years after the events of the original Jurassic Park movie, IDW Publishing picks up the story in their new comic book mini-series Jurassic Park: Redemption starting in June 2010. In the story, adult Lex works with the U.N. to keep people off both Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, while her brother, Tim, has other ideas. Update: Land of the Lost (the movie) won "Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel" in the 2009 Razzie awards.


The Razzie awards announced their nominees for the worst of everything in cinema of 2009 on Feb 1, 2010. Land of the Lost and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen tied for the most nominations in various categories.

From AP: "(Will) Ferrell has nominations as worst actor for "Land of the Lost" and as worst screen couple paired with "any co-star, creature or 'comic riff'" in the action comedy inspired by the children's TV show. "Land of the Lost" also was nominated for worst supporting actor (Jorma Taccone), director (Brad Silberling), screenplay and worst sequel, rip-off or remake..."

Here, here! The award ceremonies will take place Saturday, March 6, 2010, 7:30 pm.

Diamond Comic Distributors reports the previously solicited Land of the Lost comic book has been cancelled by the publisher without an issue having seen the light of day. The series was to have been based on the original 1970s TV series. Damn that stupid movie!!
