The SCC timeline spins out of the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but with one difference: in SCC, the events of that film are said to have taken place in 1997, whereas in the film itself it is supposed to be 1995. It is never explained why the year was changed for the TV series. Possibly it was a simple mix-up of the year of the events seen in the film (1995) and that of the foretold Judgment Day (1997) and by the time the producers realized the error it was problematic to start writing scripts suddenly mentioning 1995. Regardless, because of this difference in dates, I have decided to give SCC its own timeline page called Timeline SCC-1 rather than listing it on the Judgment Day page as a direct spin-off of that film.
