On page 1,
Rasalia Robles de Meras says, "Muévelo!" This is
Spanish for "Move it!"
On page 11, Lu says something in Chinese as he's being shoved
out the airlock.

In panel 2 of page 16, the bandage on Salo's nose suddenly
disappears, but is there again afterwards.
On page 16,
Rasalia says, "No! Nunca! No-no puedo ir
al hospital!" This is Spanish for "No! Never! I can't go to
the hospital!"
On page 17, Salo says he is from a world called Sagrada. This is
the first mention of this world in the 'Verse. Sagrada
is Spanish for "sacred".
On page 18 Lu mentions knowing a cow doctor on Huan Lo who owes
them a favor for chasing off some bandits. This is the first
mention of this world in the 'Verse.
On page 19, Simon and Kaylee are seen now living on Bryson's Rock, a moon of
Greenleaf in the Red Sun system. Greenleaf was previously
mentioned in "Out of Gas" and
The Shepherd's Tale.
Also on page 19, Zoe and her crew drive what appears to be the
same hovermule used by the Serenity crew in
"Triggered".
Simon now has a dog named Jayne because it's "dumb, smelly and
loves to eat."
Simon and Kaylee now have two kids, Teddy and May ("Brand
New 'Verse" Part 3 reveals that the kids' full first names are
Tedwinnum and Maywinnet).
"Brand New 'Verse" Part 5 reveals that
the two kids are twins.
On page 22, Teddy utters a curse in Chinese.
