At 4:28 on the DVD, a can of Maxwell House coffee is seen next to a CONA coffee maker in the cafe. CONA is a British brand of coffee maker.

Twin Peaks note: At 7:33 on the DVD, the cafe woman asks Steel, "What year is this?" and goes on to point out that she is 30-odd years out from her own time, so if she lies to him about anything, he can't very well go back and check up on it. In the Twin Peaks season three finale episode "What is Your Name?", Cooper finds himself in what seems to be an alternate timeline from the one he knew and the very last line spoken in it is him asking, "What year is this?" This will be discussed in a bit more detail in the study of "The Trap" Part 4, at the end of which Steel, along with Sapphire, finds himself trapped in something like a pocket universe and asks, "What year is this?"

At 11:25 on the DVD, two license plates are seen on the workbench in the service station garage. Though the plates are different colors, it seems as if they both may have the same number on them, CYP 959P!

The clock seen at 17:45 on the DVD is a Metamec, a British brand of clocks.

The STD (subscriber trunk dialing) code shown on the phone in the garage office is 359. This is not an actual STD code in the UK. It is the country code for dialing a number in the country of Bulgaria.
