Red Pill Mission: The Security Guard

Although during game play the name of the Agent who battles
Neo during the security guard mission is not mentioned, it is Agent White
according to promotional materials. Agent White also later appears
in "Day In...Day Out".
Red Pill Mission: Skull's Lament

Throughout this mission, the
player is treated to a narrative voiced by Morpheus.
It is a fable of Chuang Tzu, who finds an old human skull
while on a journey. Chuang Tzu (369-286 BC) was a Chinese
philosopher and author of the Zhuangzi, one of the
foundational texts of Taoism.
In the game, "Chuang Tzu" is also the name of a
martial arts master in the Matrix who is free inside the
Matrix like a Zionist even though he is still in a pod in
the real world. He is even capable of defeating an Agent,
which no other human besides Neo has ever done.
Oddly, there is another Chuang Tzu in the Matrix who
appears in "Butterfly".
Neo fights two Agents in the Skull's Lament mission. Again,
they are not named here, but promotional material refers to
them as Agents Brown and Jones.
Red Pill Mission: The Librarian

Agents Brown and Jones return to fight Neo and try to kill
the Librarian.

The operator introduced here (aboard the Nebuchadnezzar)
is Link, who replaced Tank after he was killed in
The Matrix.
He goes on to appear in "Wrong Number",
The Matrix Reloaded, and later stories.
The night club seen in this mission is Club Hel, which gets
a more proper introduction in
The Matrix Reloaded.
The bouncer tells the Agents, "Go get her. HE wants to talk
to her." The HE referred to is presumably the Merovingian,
the program who runs Club Hel, whom we will meet in
The Matrix Reloaded.
The corridor of doors Neo leads the woman through at the end
of this mission is called the backdoors. Backdoors allow
programs to quickly access other parts of the Matrix; they
are essentially hyperlinks. The doors are explained more
fully in The Matrix Reloaded.
Red Pill Mission: The Healer

A number of fictitious shops are seen in Chinatown: Gifts
Express, "a fine selection of gifts and
linen"; Chinese Dragon Laundry; Crazy Wong's, "dishes, toys,
guns, army surplus, audio, video, best selection of
sunglasses and trench coats"; Noodle Magic.
The Healer runs a small shop called Red Pill Herbal Remedies
in Chinatown. This is also, of course, a fictitious
business.
A banner advertising the City Farmers Market is seen in
Chinatown.
At the end of the mission a bundle of the latest edition of
the
Mega City Sentinel newspaper is seen, with the
front page headline, "Miracle Cure Saves Girl". Other
newspapers seen in Mega City are The City Defender
in
The Matrix
and The Daily News in
"A Life Less Empty".
