News Flash: Land of the Lost Comic Book coming soon from Arcana Studio!

I was perusing this month's Previews catalog from Diamond Comic Distributors and discovered the following solicitation for Land of the Lost #1, scheduled for release in June 2009 from Arcana Studio:

Rick Marshall, his son Will, and younger daughter Holly are trapped in an alien world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey-people called Pakuni, and aggressive humanoid/lizard creatures called Sleestak. The family's struggle to survive and find a way back to their own world continues in this comic book series.

The title is to be written by
Sean O'Reilly and Tony Lee. I'm hoping the tone of the series will be similar to the original show but with just slightly more mature storylines. The description above sounds like the series will be set before season three and the arrival of Uncle Jack (or are those stories considered apocryphal?) So far, I have not been able to find any further info on the web; the Arcana Studio website does not mention the book yet. Of course, I'll be ordering the title and will give you my review right here on T. lex.

It's Good to Know that Land of the Lost is Still Scaring Five-Year-Olds

Sounds like this kid was dreaming the "Split Personality" episode
. That is a surreal story!
