Notes from the Terminator chronology

This story takes place in an unidentified future year some time after the first RoboCop film, in an alternate universe from that seen in either the main RoboCop or Terminator franchises.

Didja Know?

Robocop versus the Terminator was a 4-issue mini-series published by Dark Horse Comics in 1992. A 1994 video game of the same name for the Sega and Nintendo gaming systems was loosely based on this mini-series.

Characters appearing or mentioned in this issue

RoboCop/Alex Murphy

Flo Langer

Skynet

Ellen Murphy (in simulation only)

Dr. Marie Lazarus (in simulation only)

Didja Notice?

The action of pages 1-3 is repeated from pages 1-3 of "Robocop versus the Terminator" Part 1, suggesting that RoboCop has now caught up to the future war seen in that earlier chapter (and is about to change the timeline on the next page).

Though dogs don't like Terminators, on page 7 we see that they don't mind RoboCop.

RoboCop creates an army of RoboCop-Terminators to fight Skynet's army of T-800s on the Resistance battlefield.

The fantasy simulation provided to Murphy by Skynet on page 23 implies that Murphy is attracted to both Dr. Marie Lazarus and Flo, besides his wife.

On page 24, Skynet seems to take on a face that appears to be similar to Murphy's.

On pages 30-31, RoboCop, having traveled back in time to destroy Skynet before it gains consciousness, destroys an orbiting satellite to do so, implying that Skynet's main intellect was housed there.
