On page 10, Ava tells Chris to hide out at the old Orchard Mall. There are a number of American malls by that name, so not able to narrow down where this story takes place.

 

Possibly, the last name of the character Ava Hamilton was borrowed from that of actress Linda Hamilton, who played Sarah Connor in The Terminator, Judgment Day, and Dark Fate.
