Things seem to be coming to a zero point for the Connors and
Terminators in 1996.
The header of the mini-series reads, "Continuing the T2
saga..." even though it takes place after the events of
T3: Rise of the Machines.
Didja Notice?
The cover of this issue depicts young John Connor
spray-painting "No Fate" on a graffiti-covered wall while
Sarah takes a smoke break! An M-16 rifle rests near Sarah.
Artist Nigel Raynor's signature on the cover is among the
graffiti on the wall. The name "Drago Saito" (or something
similar) is also seen, who- or what-ever that is. The phrase
"El Chupa Nibre" also appears, possibly a reference to a
monster that appeared in an episode of the animated
television series Futurama.
2015: On page 4, Tara and company drive across a bridge in
Philadelphia. The bridge has worn and dangling letters on
the side, presumably spelling out the name of the bridge,
but I've been unable to identify it. Anyone know what bridge
it is? |

2015: Page 4 reveals that, in this timeline, John and Tara
have had young Kyle tagged with a sub-dermal tracer without
his knowledge, so they can remain apprised of his
whereabouts and safety. Here, Tara finds him in Willow
Grove, a suburb of Philadelphia.
2015: On page 4, Will refers to the vehicle he's driving as
a Jeep, but it's actually a military Humvee.
2015: At the bottom of page 4, Will and Tara drive past a
downed freeway sign for U.S. Route 202 to Valley Forge.
Valley Forge is a village on the outskirts of Valley Forge
National Historical Park, Pennsylvania, where George
Washington's Continental Army was encamped during the
winter-spring of 1777-78 during the American Revolutionary
War.
1996: In the T-Infinity's memory cache cascade on page 10,
we see images of characters from this mini-series, but also
images of the T-1000, the Model 101, and the T-X, even
though none of these appear elsewhere in this mini-series.
2015: On page 15, the Dire Wolf programs Skynet's time
platform for 05/05/1996, target, Cahaba Road, Alabama. This
is the date and location big John traveled to, as seen in
"Revolution" Part 2
(though Cahaba Road is not mentioned in that issue, John
arrives at the Birmingham Zoo, which is located on Cahaba
Road).
1996: On page 20, a SWAT team fires on the T-Infinity. SWAT
(Special Weapons And Tactics) is a special forces team of
the police department.
1996: On page 21, Sarah and the two Johns hide out in an
old, run-down shack in Bluff Swamp, Louisiana.
"Revolution" Part 5 reveals that the shack is one of the
Connors' pre-established hideouts, with a hidden cache of
weapons buried nearby.
Bluff Swamp
is a real world wildlife refuge.
1996: On page 22, Sarah tells big John that she's deduced
that they've reached some kind of watershed moment, a zero
point, focusing the Connors and the Terminators at this
point in time. This is similar to the term "Nexus point" for
some moments in the timeline, such as 2029, in the
The New
John Connor Chronicles novels.
