This story takes place in 1985.

Didja Know?

Penciler Jamal Igle finished only pages 1-8 of this issue, providing only roughs for pages 9-22, with finishes by inker Ray Snyder. Unfortunately, the difference in art quality shows, though it's bearable. Igle returns to full pencils in the following issue.

Didja Notice?

On page 3, a bus in Paris, France has a RAPT logo on it. This is a play on RATP, Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (Autonomous Operator of Parisian Transports) the state-owned operator of public transport in Paris.

On page 5, panel 1, signs for pâtisserie and Café Jolie are seen on the Paris street. A pâtisserie is a pastry shop. Café Jolie appears to be a fictitious café. The green car in this panel appears to be a Citroën CX.

On page 5, a Polish-speaking man says the words dobrze and ocszywiście, while Stafford says dziękuję. Dobrze=good, ocszywiście=of course, dziękuję=thank you.

The Russian operative Dmitri Grishin with whom Stafford is involved may have been named for the founder of the largest internet company in the Russian-speaking world. Dmitry Grishin is the co-founder and CEO of, now operating as VK.

On page 8, Titus is wearing a shirt that has Mighty Mouse (or a pastiche thereof) on it. Mighty Mouse is an American cartoon character created in 1942 for the Terrytoons animation studio.
