Didja Notice?

The inside front cover of this issue features information about the Enterprise, the Defiant, and the Bajoran wormhole. The information on the Enterprise is accurate as we know it in the new timeline. The information on the Defiant sounds accurate from what we know of the future timeline seen in the six parts of The Q Gambit and the original timeline episodes of ST: DS9. It is stated here that the Bajoran wormhole is also known as the Celestial Temple and the Eye of the Universe; the Bajorans know it as the Celestial Temple and the Skrreea of the Gamma Quadrant (where the other end of the wormhole exists) know it as the Eye of the Universe.

In this story, the Bajoran wormhole is referred to as the Cardassian wormhole, which makes sense since, in this alternate timeline, it was discovered while Bajor was still under occupation by the Cardassians.

In this issue, Q reveals that the Q Continuum shares extra-dimensional space with several other highly evolved species, including the Bajorans' so-called Prophets and Pah-wraiths.

At the end of this story, the Enterprise crew, except for Kirk and Spock, no longer remember the ship's encounter with Q and their trip into the future.

Unanswered Questions

In this issue, Q kills all of the Pah-wraiths on the Defiant. But did he also wipe out all of the Pah-wraiths that existed in extra-dimensional space as well? Before doing so, he simply states, "Power enough to snuff out wraiths with a single thought."

Will Q keep a hold of the additional power of the Prophet that has been added to his own Q-power? On the last page of this issue, we see him pay a visit to Ambassador Picard in the original timeline and his eyes are still glowing with the added power.
