Can Kirk stop the Romulan plan for massive destruction on Kronos?

Read the story summary at Memory Beta

Didja Notice?

This issue introduces a Vulcan Starfleet Academy cadet named T'Pan who was Yuki Sulu's roommate in a flashback sequence set 4 years earlier. She died in the destruction of Vulcan in "The Vengeance of Nero". It is possible, due to the Vulcan long life span, that this was the same T'Pan who was depicted as an expert in subspace morphology in the 24th Century of the original timeline in the ST-TNG episode "Suspicions".

On page 3, Hikaru Sulu mentions that Section 31 tried to recruit him out of the Academy, but he chose the Enterprise instead. The recruitment attempt occurred in "Return of the Archons" Part 1.

On page 7, panel 4, the transporter sound effect is presented next to the Section 31 commander. Since there is no accompanying transporter shimmer effect, it's not quite obvious that he is meant to be beaming off the Romulan ship, but that's clearly what happened since he is on board a Section 31 ship shortly after on page 13.

On page 14, the hands of Kirk's captured landing party are suddenly bound by some kind of high-tech cuffs. Seemingly a moment before (on page 9) they weren't!

Another, unnamed, type of Section 31 warship appears on page 16.
