Didja Know?
The title of this 6-part story,
"I.D.I.C.", stands for "Infinite Diversity In Infinite
Combinations", a Vulcan philosophy first introduced to us in the
original series episode "Is There in Truth No Beauty?" in 1968.
Didja Notice?
This issue reveals that the voice heard by the Kirks and who
has manipulated the spatial anomaly to scatter the Kirks
through the multiverse is that of Gary Mitchell, who was
seemingly killed in
"Where No
Man Has Gone Before" Part 2.
On page 9, Mitchell shows Kirk a
version of Earth ruled by the Romulans. The building in the
last panel of the page is the U.S.
White
House under the Romulan flag. On page 10, the
Washington
Monument is seen.
On page 10, Mitchell tells Kirk there are many realities
where the Federation, Klingons, and Romulans conquer each
others' worlds, with the Klingons having the lead so far.
On page 14, a version of Captain Jane Kirk is seen having
defeated the Borg in battle in panel 1. In panel 3, an
alternate Jaylah has seemingly killed Kirk in one timeline.
