The Enterprise faces down the star-eater!

Read the story summary at Memory Beta

Didja Notice?

Page 8 gives the current stardate as 2262.18. This is close to a year after the last known stardate of 2261.34 in "The Q Gambit" Part 1. This places the story almost 3 years into the Enterprise's 5-year mission.

The star-eater depicted in this story is reminiscent of the sun-eater seen in comic books published by DC Comics.

The end of the issue leaves the Enterprise thrown off course, in a location unrecognizable on the starcharts. In the next issue ("Eurydice" Part 1), we learn they have been thrown all the way to the Delta Quadrant.
