Didja Know?
This issue does not have an individual title. I've chosen the
title
"Assimilation Futile" in reference to Spock's resistance
to the Borg attempt to assimilate him.
Didja Notice?
During the battle with the Borg sphere over Romulus on pages
8-9, a number of ships of similar design to the Romulan
patrol ships seen in
"Legacy of Spock" Part 3
are seen.
After allying with the Romulans long enough to rescue the
prisoners of the Borg and destroy the Borg sphere, Kirk is
brought before the Romulan senate for his violation of the
Neutral Zone. The Senate speaker comments that this is the
second time he has violated the border, the first when he
gave assistance in uncovering the plot of Vulcan terrorists
against the Empire. This occurred in
"Vulcan's Vengeance"
Part 2.
On page 20, Kirk remarks that he stole the idea to beam the
photon torpedoes onto the Borg sphere from Spock. In Star Trek
Into Darkness, Spock beamed a number of armed
photon torpedoes onto the Vengeance, disabling it.
