Didja Notice?
The story seems to take place on three levels: a failed
mission simulation, a dream of the failed mission
simulation, and the woman waking up in the real world from
the dream of the failed mission simulation.
The child who runs to her at the end of the story indicates
the woman did
succeed in freeing a child from the fetus fields at some
point after her failed simulation.
