"Final Flight of the Osiris" was an animated short that appeared on the Animatrix video relased in 2003 with seven other animated shorts. It originally premiered in movie theaters on March 21, 2003, eight weeks before the premiere of The Matrix Reloaded, in front of the movie The Dreamcatcher.

 

In this short film, the crew of the hovership Osiris discovers a huge swarm of thousands of sentinels tunneling from the surface down towards Zion. First Mate Jue manages to deliver a warning to Zion from inside the Matrix before the hovership and all its crew are killed. It is mentioned briefly early in The Matrix Reloaded.
