On page 1, we see the aethership Galactica up close for the first time, with the name spelled in semi-cursive script on the side.

Learning of Baltar's impending attack on Gemini from Lord Cain, Archduke Adama orders the few remaining ships of Caprica be conscripted into the Colonial Army to protect Gemini and end Baltar's threat.

Here, we see that Starbuck smokes a pipe rather than cigars as in the original BSG.

On page 5, Starbuck and Muffit quickly prep the Starchaser for flight and Starbuck announces, "Cavorite thrusters are go!" "Cavorite" is a substance capable of negating the force of gravity in the 1901 novel The First Men in the Moon by H.G. Wells.

Page 6 reveals that the gigantic Cylonics are called Centurions.

In this issue, Apollo meets Count Iblis as one of his fellow prisoners under Baltar's thumb.

This issue reveals that Starbuck formerly dated both Cassiopeia and Sheba...at the same time. That's our Starbuck. Of course, in the original BSG, it was Cassiopeia and Athena he was dating at once; Sheba was strictly devoted to Apollo.

The Starchaser's pursuit through the debris field is a bit similar to that of the Millennium Falcon through the asteroid belt in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

On page 15, Starbuck uses the adjective "galmonging" to describe the Ovions. The term was used occasionally in the original BSG series, but was left largely undefined. In the study of "The Living Legend" Part 1, I speculated that it may be similar to our own English adjective "war-mongering". However, in this mini-series, it seems to be used as a more general epithet.

On page 17, Apollo says, "The Hades I am." The Greek word "Hades" (the underworld of the dead) is often used within the BSG universe in place of "Hell".

The Cylonic Raiders seen at the end of the issue appear to be based on the versions seen in BSG2000.
